Cinnamon buns

2 tablespoonsWater (optional or about 1 tablespoon lemon juice)

Preparation

  1. Melt/warm 200 g cream and 80 g butter in a pot.
  2. 500 g flour, 1 pkg. dry yeast, 1 pkg. vanilla sugar, 80 g sugar and the butter-cream mixture mix in a bowl and then knead properly.
  3. cover the dough and let rise for at least 40 min.
  4. mix 100 g brown sugar and 3 tsp cinnamon in a container.
  5. Sprinkle the work surface with flour and knead the dough well on the work surface.
  6. roll out dough to 30 cm x 50 cm in the shape of a rectangle and brush dough with 50 g softened butter.
  7. sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly, roll up the dough with the longer edge and cut into slices of about 3 cm.
  8. Place the slices on the baking tray and brush with a little milk.
  9. Preheat oven to 180ยฐ top/bottom heat (160ยฐ convection oven).
  10. let rise for 30 min and put in the oven for about 15 min.
  11. Let cool and mix 125 g powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons water or optional about 1 tablespoon lemon juice.
  12. drizzle icing over the top.
