Hungarian cookies

Ingredients (approx. 30-40 pieces)

Preparation

  1. 250 g flour, 1 pinch of salt and 100 g softened butter to a crumbly mass.
  2. Add 2 egg yolks and 120 g sour cream and knead.
  3. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and put in the fridge for 24 hours.
  4. Preheat oven to 200 Cยฐ.
  5. roll out dough on floured work surface about 0.5 cm thick and cut out circles about 5 cm.
  6. Place 1/2 tsp jam in the center of each circle, then fold the circles together and press the edges.
  7. brush the cookies with a mixture of 1 egg yolk and 2 tablespoons milk.
  8. bake in the oven for approx. 10 - 12 min.
  9. let cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
